Man that hudd bite was wild this spring…. I feel that was also a result of me presenting something different in a location I had basically exhausted my glide bite in but also I was blessed with excellent conditions for a lot of the prespawn bite. Either way it was nice to feel like I know what I am doing once in awhile. Lol

I haven’t read all posts on this thread so forgive me if I am regurgitating something… I want to add that I too have had similar experiences on the smaller bodies I fish… In my personal opinion, I feel like when we are talking smaller acreage the populations of (big) fish aren’t huge to begin with. I feel it’s entirely possible that on those smaller bodies, the regression of quality fishing could also be attributed to you literally wearing out the population. I am lucky to be in an area with lots of fishing opportunity so to test my theory over the last few years I’ve been rotating lakes on more of an annual timeline. Without fail I am finding more bites and quality fish on the lakes that I let “rest” for a season or two. These lakes are pressured fairly heavily as well with both conventional and swims, so it’s not as if they aren’t seeing baits. But year after year, I’ve noticed that going to the same place and doing generally the same thing won’t necessarily yield you the same results. Of course many other things to be considered as mentioned in posts before me, but I digress…

Contacted Daiwa directly and they said they discontinued all parts for it in 2018. Tried Mikes and Dave’s as well and neither can help. Does anyone know where I might be able to find parts for them? I’m curious to know if anywhere in Japan might still carry some parts for them still. Hate having to leave it on the bench. Part # 6H281701

Anybody try these scales? Tired of mine getting ruined during the rainy days up here in the PNW so I’m exploring some new options… This one claims to be waterproof so I was curious if anyone has tried them and had any issues.
