  1. Sorry new to this. Can anyone help. Can't figure out how to post a topic?
  2. Dana point has great calico bass. Swimbaits kill them around all the kelp. Can't go wrong with the weedless ms swimbaits. White seabass smash the larger swimbaits. 6 inches or bigger
  3. I'm having issues too. How do you post a topic?
  4. 1-2 ounce baits curado 200 or calcutta 200 pinned with 12 to 15 lb seaguar abrazx. 2-3 ounce baits curado 300 or calcutta 300 whichever your hands prefer pinned with 15 to 20 lb seaguar abrazx floro. 40 lb big game is something you would use for 20lb plus yellowtail
  5. Just like most things it's a lot just personal preference. I love the okuma guide select swimbait sticks. Definitely get what you pay for. I use the heavy with a calcutta 400 for my 8 " hudds and medium heavy with a calcutta 300d for my swaver 200 s and 3D glide swimmer 205s. That's pretty much all I throw. Both pinned with 20lb seaguar abrazx. Great setups
  6. Could of been a number of different reasons why. That's fishing. Try using straight floro seaguar abrazx 20lb and rig your hudd like Butch. Vmc 1 60lb 7 strand and a2 sleeve. Butch is the man. A great inspiration and a true legend in the world of trophy bass fishing! Hope to see him this year at the fred hall show. Good luck on the water
  7. What's going on Don? It's Donny. I met you at the fred hall show last year along with og. I thought you were kenny huddleston for a min. Lol. While I was waiting to meet Butch I talked to you and og for a while and you showed me your new 175 and 250 slideswimmer you had just bought. Then you and og took pics with Butch. I watch your videos all the time. Looked like you and og had a good time fishing. We'll looks like your getting her done. Nice fish. Can't wait to see you guys this year. Until then good fishing my friend
  8. Rof 5 is your best bet. Has little more kick in the tail and looks little more natural when fishing it slow. If your fishing deep you'll just have to wait a little longer for it to get down to desired depth. Most of the stocked trout stay fairly shallow and many times hiding in cover close to shore oddly enough. My guess is they don't want to be eaten by a huge bass or striper. Good luck hope this helpd
