I have a mink that does this too. Typically the line gets stuck to the front hook so I was thinking about switching the hook to a size smaller or maybe take the ring off the line tie but I don't want to affect the action of the bait. It's got a killer knock to it when it doesn't foul up so I still like using it but it does get frustrating.
