  1. I need a 110 with WCZ flat knobs. The OD green ones are killer, but not in stock. Also need some more big baits. This is never gonna end. Each month there come new reasons to spend. This swimbait fishing is most expensive. I love it! Go broke or go home
  2. Obviously, bro, you didn't pay attention to my original post, check it once again, it's right above this line I clearly wrote 2,500,000 JPY, as a fact, it was the first price I mentioned. Stop arguing because you only make it worse.
  3. It's the only way to go! Wait, let's source that blank out from NFC I know that Aleks, the NFC CEO, told me they are supplying DRT in Japan with the blanks they make here, in the U.S. But I doubt that particular blank is available in their public offer. Still, my favorite rods are from EDGE, which is NFC's other company of factory built rods.
  4. So glad I kept the print screen. Behold, the $24,000.00 USD DRT Pulse rod And the best thing is that the blank is U.S. made by NFC. Obviously, no one placed a bid on that. But still, the nerve to ask that kind of money for a piece of graphite... WTF! Keep yours away and don't fish it anymore
  5. Thanks man, it's a solid choice. I prefer fluoro with its low stretch since I fish a lot of soft swimbaits on this lighter setups - Daiwa Z + rods up to 3 oz. Looking forward to get a Balam 245, looks nicely downsized. I got the 300 version but it didn't get much action. This fall I might use it more, together with the Jointed Claw 303.
  6. Thanks, man! Looks like mine or the batch it came from had some issues. What line and lbs. test are you using on the DR-Z? I only used 14 lbs. FC Sniper on the Black Limited, not will use 20 to 25 lbs. fluorocarbon on the DR-Z. But I have some spools left with Sunline Machinegun Cast line of 30 lbs. test.
  7. Dope setup, man! Take really good care of that rod, imho. One day it may get priceless enough to ensure you a comfy retirement :))) How's the reel holding up after how many months of use? I mean how's the gear smoothness now as compared to when the reel was new out of the box? I also own a D2020 Black Limited and now it feels like the proverbial coffee grinders from 19th century, the gears have become that rough after 7 to 8 months of throwing 1 to 2 oz. soft swimbaits mostly (One Ups and Optimum Boom Booms) on 14 lbs. fluorocarbon line exclusively. I haven't seen a reel dying so fast in my life. I have yet to send it back to Japan for servicing (parts replacement) because it's so rough that I cannot use it anymore. All the bearings are good, it's the gears. They're expensive like gold, they won't sell them to you and they seem to be made from everything else except for hardened brass. Still, I got the DR-Z, which is incredibly smooth out of the box. I'm a bit scared to use it so it won't follow suit like her darker and now useless sis. Still, I had to get it because it's one solid compact reel and it can cast really good.
  8. Sorry, do the math again: the amount was 2,500,000 (2 million and a half yens), so at the current exchange rate, this equals 23,809 USD, close to 24,000 USD, as I said. The other Artex rod I've seen go between 230,000 and 350,000 JPY. This means 2,200 USD to 3,333 USD. I know, I wrote to him on facebook to complain about these artificially inflated prices and he can't do anything. A those huge prices they aren't worth it unless your filthy rich, which I'm not. Yes, it's hard to get them, even if you live there.
  9. Thanks for that. Hopefully I will get the 100 mm version. I never used knobs so fat but I think I may get used to them.
  10. Solid gold, yeah! I thought I am seeing things, I used a n exchange rate calculator to make sure the amount is correct. I plan to use the handle on a Daiwa Z 2020 Deps limited, which is 9.5 oz. So it would be with 1 oz. and some change heavier.
  11. Wow, thanks man! Does it feel like it makes the reel heavier or it depends on the reel's own weight and shape? Other than that, I don't think it can be beaten (except for the huge price tag). Talk about crazy prices: yesterday I have seen listed on Japanese auctions a DRT Pulse #1c rod new, for like 2,500,000 JPY :O I am seeing lots of Artex rods going between 230,000JPYto 360,000JPY... but that Pulse was beyond insane. And the thing is that it uses a U.S. made graphite blank. But close to $24,000 USD? Never seen that in my life. I think this is getting too far.
  12. What is the weight of the DRT Varial handles - 95 and 100 mm? Can't seem to find an official or accurate data on this.
  13. Baits are now up on eBay, new buy it now price with best offer and new low starting auction. https://www.ebay.com/itm/154089923540 https://www.ebay.com/itm/154090073103
  14. Sorry, won't split them again. Sell them as a lot or not at all.
  15. Lot A and lot B pictures, just to see how the baits are matched together.
  16. Quick update: I will also split them in two lots, because I already listed the lot A on eBay. They won’t let me list another auction since I’m new with selling. A. Lot of 3 swimbaits: - DEPS Slideswimmer 250 OG - Flash Carp - DEPS Slideswimmer 250 OG - Nude Black - DEPS Slideswimmer 250 new style (ABS plastic) – Fire Tiger Price: $500.00 or best offer + international shipping. B. Lot of 2 swimbaits: - DEPS Slideswimmer 250 OG – Keta Bass custom - Deps Slideswimmer 175 OG – Albino Tiger Price: $250.00 or best offer + international shipping. Thank you for watching!
  17. Thanks as well. Here's the first test with the Gan Craft Shaku-One on this rod. Since they were literally the first casts, I was kind of hesitant to bomb it out there, but the rod can do it. Sorry for the not so good quality image, but that was before I got my actual filming gear, which is much better and at least focuses where it should https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pf192Xl6cMA&t=301s&ab_channel=PescuitlarăpitordelaAlaZ
  18. Looks like selling this lot on eBay is more complicated than I thought because I didn’t sell anything before, just bought things. So, I cannot put a higher price than $500 on this lot of baits. The only option is to split them into two groups, but that will take more time to do it. So, I am trying to sell them here as well, but please keep in mind this is no domestic sale, since the shipping is from another country. Due to +7 hrs time delay, I will reply to any questions at my earliest. I am putting up for sale my personal DEPS SlideSwimmer swimbaits, out of which 4 are OGs. This means they are the original models, made of foam, which gives them great fish-catching action and more tuning options. These are very rare swimbaits and the Flash Carp color is one of the most sought-after bait in the world, in the Original foam version. Items are in Bucharest, Romania, Europe, so the shipping will take some time especially in this time of pandemic and restrictions. All have been bought from Japan, some in mint condition, others in used or new, and I will list each bait with its accurate description. 1. DEPS Slideswimmer 250 Firetiger – new condition, new style (that means it’s made from ABS plastic). Original hardware on this one. 2. DEPS Slideswimmer 250 Flash Carp OG – old or original style, made of foam, in mint condition, no marks except for some very fine ones from storage. Original hardware on this one. 3. DEPS Slideswimmer 250 Keta Bass OG custom – bought as a custom modified bait from Japan, in used condition, with hooks on top. It swims just as good as a regular OG, but with added benefit of having the hooks on top for fishing it on the bottom or above grass or to reduce the chances of snagging it. Regular treble hooks can be attached and the tops removed. No original hardware (treble hooks). 4. DEPS Slideswimmer 250 Nude Black OG – bought as mint from a Japanese seller, I used it for pike fishing, which left some scars on the soft shell of the bait, that can be seen up close. I can provide further pictures with details. The flash foil has lost some of its scale pattern, but the bait swims great and catches fish. Bass will do less damage than pike’s teeth for sure. For the couple of days I fished it, it absolutely slayed big pike and it was the bait of the trip, even though it took some damage. Original hardware on this one. The tail has a small bend around the longitudinal axis, as seen from the pictures, but it’s nothing to affect the bait’s evolution. I have also attached some closeup pics with the damaged soft shell, so you can see for yourself. The shell is still strong and holding as should. 5. Deps Slideswimmer 175 OG rare limited color, I would call it Albino Tiger – used, with some scratches and bite marks on the skin, one eye missing, but still very good looking and with the great swim of Deps, ready to catch fish when the big ones are getting followed but not bit. Original hardware on this one. No boxes for any of the bait, some come with, but I got rid of them away for space saving. Will pack each bait individually in air bubble wrap before putting them in the shipping box. Shipping in these times is tough, but I found an international mail option with delivery confirmation. EMS would be the best, but it’s currently suspended worldwide. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, shipping is slow and the transit times are bigger than before, so expect delays from the usual schedule. Depending on the country, shipping restrictions may be in place so please let me know your country so I can first check with our Post Office for shipping clearance. Should the shipping charges be less than quoted for some destinations, I will let you know and refund the balance to you. The cheapest charges I have found are about $55.00 with confirmation of delivery, but I will know the real price upon weighing the parcel at the post before shipping it. I can send the package in 1 to 3 days from receiving the payment because the shipping can only be done from a Post Office with Customs since this is a parcel that goes outside the European Union. These offices are fewer and have some peculiar working hours program. Ask for any questions on the baits condition, I can provide more detailed photos on request. I am selling them because it’s kind of awkward to catch pike on them. I have other more tooth-proof big baits for that. PayPal only. I prefer to send them as a lot because it’s easier for me and the shipping charges are paid just once. My price target for the whole lot is about $750, but the final price is set by you, the buyer, not me. Make me a reasonable offer and I may accept it. Thanks for watching!
  19. I also own a custom rod built on the BB809 and it will throw the Gan Craft Shaku-One 303 and the Balam 300 "no question asked". But it's not a stiff rod and the action is more on the parabolic side, perfect for hardbaits with treble hooks. My Edge SWB807-1IM is supposedly built on the same NFC 807 blank, but there could be production variations we don't know about. Here's my review on the BB809, and as you may see, the blank I've got is rated 2 - 8 oz., as it was a prototype, and the people from NFC told me it would throw up to 10 or 11 oz. without any problems. Which is does. Now, the same blank is rated up to 10 oz., so I guess in the meantime they got it in its final form. http://andreizabet.ro/best-by-test/the-lightsaber.html The Edge 807 goes really good with the 250 without feeling overpowered. Its sweet spot is around 4 to 5 oz. It castst the 230 Magnums like a dream, and they are around 4 oz.
  20. I think NFC may have just the blank you're looking for: https://northforkcomposites.com/product/swb-807-1im/ Here's my review for their Edge factory rod, build on the same blank: http://andreizabet.ro/best-by-test/the-heavy-beauty-edge-sb807-1-im-by-gary-loomis.html The review is in English. The rod likes 3 to 5 oz. baits and will definitely throw the 250 without too much hassle. It's a powerful rod but not too stiff. So the blank is definitely worth it for the discounts they give you at checkout. Now I'm looking for some 2-piece blanks (one & a half or tip + butt section just like Japanese rods) in the 8 to 8'6" length and casting weights from 1/2 to 4 or 5 oz., but I couldn't find any. If someone knows of such blanks, please let me know. I need to build some rods easier to travel with. Not to mention the 8' sticks don't get in the elevator so it's staircase all the time.
  21. Thanks, man! In a way I hate to see them gone because they're like legend and they absolutely slay fish, I used that Nude Black for 2 days only on some good pike waters (that aren't there anymore) and this was the bait of the trip. But my Gan Craft 230 Magnums swim just as good, catch lots of fish and they resist toothy fish better (and I like their sinking rates better out of the box).
  22. Thanks for the reply. Nude Black - OG Flash Carp - OG Keta Bass custom - OG Firetiger - new style (ABS plastic) 175 - OG I would do as I said, put a reserve price on the auction.
  23. Hi guys, it's been long time since I've been here. I am looking to sell some of my baits that are not getting any use. It's a lot of DEPS SlideSwimmer 250 and a 175. 3 x 250 are OGs, the 175 is OG as well. The only new style baits if the Firetiger one. All have been bought in time from Japan and I paid a lot for them, especially for the OG's. I intend to put them on eBay and sell the as a whole lot. Since I'm not from U.S., selling on this forum is out of the question, too complicated. I just want to ask you about what price I should ask for the whole lot of them. I bought them all as used or in mint condition, but I used two of them myself - the Nude Black and the 175, for pike fishing, since we have no bass in our country, which is a shame. As a side note, these 250s are pike killers, unbelievable fish-catching machines. Well, the Flash Carp is in mint condition, I didn't use it, the Keta Bass was bought as you see it, modified by the seller I guess, with hooks on top - it swims just great and the work was nicely done. Regular hooks can still be used. The FireTiger in new condition. The Nude Black has suffered some damage to the soft shell from pike teeth and the foil has lost some its scale pattern. Other than this, it swims great and catches fish. The 175 was used to catch some fish as well, still in good condition. I would probably make an auction with $1.00 start and set my reserve price. I have paid a lot for each 250 OG, and the other ones weren't cheaper.
  24. BTW, I have cast the Tranx 401 last Saturday. That "under 2 seconds" free spool is irrelevant. The reel cast a 44 grams lead weight 52 meters. It casts like a rocket. I am impressed.
  25. I think there may be a confusion in terms and blank models. The BB I'm talking about is a prototype swim bait blank, you can find info about it here: http://andreizabet.ro/best-by-test/the-lightsaber.html I'm not aware that this blank to be currently available for sale with NFC. The BB blank you may refer to could be a Back Bounce blank, which is rated up to 5 or 6 oz. for vertical bouncing, its casting weight is much, much lower. The SWB808-1 blank from NFC is a different one. And the EDGE Swim Bait 807-1 IM rod is a different one, that can handle more that it says on it (1/2 - 5 oz.). I cast Deps 250 regularly on it. So, there are different blanks.
