  1. I have the 806 and it is great for treble baits.
  2. I have a biology degree. I'm a surgeon now but I'm a bass fishing nerd with a special interest in big fish.. I would not recommend transplanting a big bass (especially a DD bass) based on the welfare of the fish. Many of these very large fish have a very set routine to their life. The use the same spots to feed. They migrate the same routes. They eat the same stuff most of the time. If you disrupt that you are putting the fish in a very stressful situation. Also these truly giant fish become giants by eating huge meals that require minimal energy expenditure on their part. That is one of the main reasons why these trout stocked lake largies become so large. If the fish you catch is a trout eater etc it will have a very difficult time maintaining it's intake to stay healthy and maintain it's weight in your 20 acre pond. It will likely die. Fish are not that different from any other animal (including humans). A 10 lber is a fairly old fish in any part of the country. This fish has learned a way of life and if that is disrupted then the fish will likely have a very difficult time adapting. If you have 8 lb fish in your pond being caught then you very likely have DD fish in the pond as is. You can supplement what your fish have to eat if you want bigger fish in your pond. Stock some trout or shad, fertilize the pond, put feeders out for your bluegill etc. Again I don't recommend it based on the welfare of the fish. Small fish adapt much more easily.
  3. Article for you guys. Old news for most of you but I thought it was a good summation. I am from NOLA but I am following this bs parade you all are dealing with in California. http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-sac-skelton-game-fish-kill-20160630-snap-story.html
  4. This topic is not over. I am interested in all opinions. What do you like about it?
  5. Oh great! Thank you again! Any thoughts on the Hiroshima gillrilla? I don't particularly care for the way it looks but I am interested in how it swims.
  6. Thank you to all who replied. Very informative. The BGC is sold out on their site. Are these typically difficult to source?
  7. JBS? Sorry I'm unfamiliar with the abbreviation.
  8. I just wanted to get an idea of what gill glides people prefer and have had the most success with. If you have used gill glides and haven't had much success that would be helpful input also. I'm not looking for any lure in particular. I only would like to know your personal experiences. Thanks in advance.
  9. so tempting but I wish it was an 867 dobyns.
  10. I have 316 shads. I would be interested in a trade if you are interested.
  11. I am committed to swimbait I just wondered if anyone had noted particular conditions or seasons when the action of a multi hinge out performs the glides.
  12. I'm interested in these. Please text me at 205-515-6747
  13. Hello everyone. I'm new to the board. I have been fishing swimbaits here and there but just now beginning to get serious about it. I was wondering when you guys opt to fish a bait with multiple joints like a freestyle shad, matt lures hard gill/ bass, etc vs glide baits such as reps 250/ 175 or ganterel for example. What conditions, season etc dictate your choices? Thank you in advance.
