  3. In my opinion its a descent bait if your covering lots of water. But if you really need to slow down ur presentation and want to crawl it, this is where it lacks a bit. Every bait has its situation where it shines and lacks though. Overall if say its a good bait though
  4. If a hudd really starts to tear apart i use nail polish in the color thats peeling and mend it. The kind i use is for gel nails if that helps hahaha. So raid your chicks make up drawer.
  5. Without a question 7 hudds over a mag
  6. Damn kid you have some talent. That is quality work you have in that bait. Keep at it, and test the crap out of it. And when ya dial her in, your gonna need my address cuz i want one. Good work dan
  7. Jealous of the guys who can get out during the week to fish after a plant. I always have to wait till saturday which is always a few days later. Even though i usually still do well then anyways. But im sure that bite is hotter the day of

  9. If you are going to be throwing a lot of treble hook baits, ya might wanna think about the dobyns 867
  10. I have fished them all and for some reason find myself fishing the 796 the most frequent. I love the shorter handle. I am cumfortable dragging a hudd with this rod, its also great for fishing top water baits because of the shorter handle eliminating the headache of working some of those topwater baits. But to each his own. I just know that is my go to workhorse rod.
  11. I switched to the accu cull i am not positive. When i guessed the weight i thought 14 lbs at least but i will have to check and compare scales. I always go with the lowest reading on a scale
  12. The lake is just so pressured. There was a tourney going on that day i pulled in this guy between 2 other boats. They both came by thinking i had i giant lmb. Too bad it wasnt
  13. My bad everyone didnt realize i should have posted this in the flipside section..
  14. After breaking my pb two weeks ago with a 10lb 4oz fish, i decided to go back and put in more work. Started off the morning working topwater for nothing. It was a pretty slow day until i thought i heard shad busting behind me. I turned around and saw what i thought was a DD largemouth chasing a single trout. The trout was jumping out of the water to get away from this pig. Must have jumped a dozen times. I picked up a rod that had an 8 in hudd on it ( even though i would have rather tossed a punker at him, which i didnt have on any of the rods) i backed the boat up and tossed just past where i saw the commotion. I slowly worked the hudd back and as soon as i hit that area i got whacked. This one put up a lot better of a fight. Was a little disappointed it wasnt a huge bucketmouth but ill take a pb striper. 10 lbs 8 oz not too shabby.
  15. I have fished it havent seen a double digit come out of there in years. Its not so much the water level fluctuations as it is that they are no longer stocking the lagoon. The word is we might get trout stocks again next fall. We will see. If the trout come back the big girls will grow again
  16. Ya thats a normal striped bass there. Only supersized!! nice catch
  17. Price drop!!!! $ 210. Has never even had line on this reel. Comes brand new in the box
  18. Gotta make quick work of that topwater bite. The last couple weeks its lasted about an hour then dies off.
  19. Caught this 10 lb 4 oz striper on castaic lake on the third cast of the day with a 6 in lunker punker. Had a few more roll over on it as well but this was the only one i was able to fool today.
