Hey dudes did a search and couldn't find a thread on this. I just got my hands on a OG deps 250 and was curious what line you guys like to throw em on? I've been throwing my bull shooter and my new deps 250 on 20lb seaguar Abrasx fluoro. Works well but I see a lot of you guys are throwing baits on mono like p-line original and Big Game.

First bullshooter fish!

Just picked up a bullshooter from tackle warehouse on my way home from work. Having their retail store on my way home is best/worst thing that ever happened to me. Hit Santa Margarita lake and the bite was slow to start but as soon as 6:30pm rolled around the chew was on. 9 fish total in 3.5 to 5lb range. This pic is the first one I stuck on the bullshooter. I caught most them on my 9 inch slammer because it is too hard to set down when top water is on. Post more photos later my wife took the computer so I can't get them off my go pro! If any of you dudes are ever in central coast California area and want to hop on my boat sometime PM me. I have it wet slipped at the dock because you can't launch.

Yeah Matt and Paul were the reason I was considering the reel in the first place... Thanks guys I think I am gonna pop the extra bucks and go for the Lexa 300... Would you guys throw the Huddleston on the XH and the 250 on the XXH? I feel like everything could be thrown on the XH that I have but I like to have more rods rigged and ready... I was think about getting a 10" hudd for the XXH but I feel like 2x the price isn't worth 2" more bait.

Matt and Paul were why I was leaning towards that reel in the first place... That's their favorite reel for hudds... I don't have much experience with round reels anyway other than really big ones when I have ocean fished in the past... I should just spend the extra bucks and get the Lexa... Thanks your help dudes! Hey any thought on what you guys would throw on the XXH rod I have? I was leaning towards just selling it because it's brand new still wrapped and tagged. The biggest bait I throw is deps 250 and the XH I think would handle that just fine.

Thanks dude... I was trying to save some cash and get the Cardiff but here a mixed reviews about them and some people have problems with them abs say they are garbage... They Lexa 300pwr doesn't have the power handle its just the 5.1.1 ratio... I've heard the same thing about those power handles.

Hey guys new to SU! Been throwing slammers and rats for awhile but new to big swimbait game. I just picked up 2 Daiwa DX in XH and XXH that I got a steal on. I have a curado 300 which I love! Need a second reel and was leaning towards a Cardiff 300 or the Lexa 300 or anything else in that price range. Was thinking some good for hudds that's why I was leaning towards the reel with lower gear ratios. Gonna throw my deps 175 and 250 on the 300. Your thoughts dudes?
