    I grew up in Hialeah. I haven't bank beaten around the area in 15-20 years but just about anywhere with water should hold some fish. Some better than others. The Miramar/Pembroke pines area north of Hialeah I used to do better at than in proper Hialeah, again 20 years ago. If you're looking for Peacocks my biggest suggestion is this, bring a 2500 to 4000 size spinning reel with 10-30lb braid or 10-15lb mono or flouro, preferably the lighter braid with a short leader under 20lbs. Get a cheap rod at Walmart there is one in town, there are also 2 Bass Pro's within 40 minutes and other local tackle shops. Also bring or go buy a couple of Rapala x-raps in 06 or 08 size, preferably the smaller one in any color that you like. Cast that thing out and work it very very aggressive, not the regular jerk jerk pause we use for largies, just rip rip rip rip constantly once is a while hesitate a bit then keep ripping. The peacock will crush it if they are around. They love this bait, they also tend to prefer smaller size lures. Not to say you can't catch them on a swimbait slow but they like it fast and small. Most of the bait they eat is aggressive little cichlids. They will most likely not eat worms and other more regular bass lures - small jerkbaits and topwater are the staples for peacock. Also, if you are looking for largemouth bring anything you like to use and you should have some cooperate. Can't go wrong with a skinny dipper fished weedless just about anywhere or a senko. Also, the smaller bass will often times eat the aggressively worked baits that you were using for peacocks too. Good luck, you should have some good fun. If you aren't getting bit where ever you are just keep moving till you do. Finally almost forgot, target any man made structure: bridges, docks, sea walls, irrigation pipes or culverts.
