  1. I noticed this too I was getting more headshots and all three of the hookups only when I reeled it as slow as possible
  2. Thanks for the replys! I was setting the hook as soon as I felt them and cranking them in but one headshake above or below the water and they were gone.
  3. I'm relatively new to swimbaiting and still figuring things out but the last three trips I've had about 20-25 bites on the rof 5 8" hud. And only three of those fish stuck and it wasn't even long enough to get them to the boat. Of these bites some where tail biters but some drilled it in the head, leaving teeth marks down the whole thing and even tearing the lips off it! This was using the jig hook and a dobyns 807. So do you guys let them eat it? Wait to set the hook? Its frustrating and i want to turn these bites into fish in the boat! Thanks in advance any input is appreciated.
  4. It's been tough for me too about 10 trips out and only two 4lb fish to show for it but I just keep telling myself it will happen
  5. Thanks guys, very supportive community on here!
  6. Insert with a lead weight because it likes to swim upside down
  7. Those look sweeeet and that was a nice fish! How long are they?
  8. Thanks! The only thing is It's awkward to rig so I'm thinking of trying a line through system on it.
  9. Maybe soon! I'm just remelting old plastics right now for testing and it takes a lot of them lol
  10. New master, new mold, 15" tip to tip, rigged weedless with Gami's and single strand.
  11. Maybe paddles that stick out of the back half in place of legs?
  12. That's all mines supposed to do but I'm not sure what you could do to get it to glide
  13. I was thinking of doing something like this only except using weedless worm hooks and attaching them with single strand on the bottom from the bend on the front one to the eye on the rear one
  14. It looks great! I wanted to do tophook and internal harness on mine but it doesn't seem possible without a two piece mold. Do you think your center section where it narrows will be strong enough to hold during casting?
  15. Damn that looks wicked how long is it overall? How do you plan on rigging it?
  16. I used plaster of paris and it didn't stick to the clay but it would be pretty easy to break the master so just be careful and make sure you can pull the whole mold out easily. Maybe line the box you're molding in with wax paper first?
  17. Sweet going in the cart for my next order
  18. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Those 11/0 owner hooks look pretty thin do you think they would hold up to the caliber of bass that would eat a lizard like this?
  19. Thanks! Do you have a link to those hooks?
  20. I didn't measure to the tip of the tail but with it coiled up its almost 12" exact so it's plenty big!
