I just let it dry for a day and in the sun for few hours then it was good
-
Did the first pour and swimtest it needs a bunch of tweaks and looks like a glob of weeds out of the water but in the water it looks fantastic. I need to figure out a system to rig it because a 7/0 gamakatsu barely reaches the neck.

Looks great! I'm working on something like this I'll let you know how it goes

Almanor is a little far but if you ever get a chance it is chock full of plus sized smallies.
-
Im Not posative but it came from almost the exact same same spot and was the same size as the fish I had seen just a week prior but it could definitely be a different one

I think I've seen the bottom one in a different color on this forum and in a tactical bassin video where he explains sink rates. Not posative but i think they're foreign knock offs.

I once saw "solar fall baits" doing this on youtube in one of his videos. If you you're into making your own baits you should definitely go check him out.

From the album: Note worthy Fish

Went out today bank fishing with a friend after class and stuck this fish at 4.6lbs. Not huge but it's my first fish on a huddleston and I got to watch her eat it! I saw this fish a week before when she bit just the tail right in front of me so I went down to the same spot and made the same cast with no result. Then I moved about ten yards down the bank and casted past another boulder in the water and wham! She nailed and I set the hook but she didn't stick and I fell down the bank on my back and watched my hudd fly in the air and land in the water in front of me. It had landed in a submerged bush in about a foot of water, I quickly got up and realed up the slack when I saw her making a b-line for the bait. I twitched it and she blew through the Bush and inhaled it at my feet. Awsome!

I absolutely love my 795 but it's sweet spot is only between 1 and 3-3.5 ounces so you will need a different rod for anything heavier.

How did you guys get into Swimbait fishing.?
Garrett replied to bassing305's topic in The Underground
About 6-7 years ago my grandpa gave me a few rapala super shad raps. I guess he thought he was never going to use them because they were so large. I just put them in my tackle box and didn't use them for the same reason. Then about three years ago I decided to tie one on one my catfish setup (a big ugly stick) and give it a try. After fishing it for 20 minutes it got crushed resulting in a five pounder, my biggest fish at the time. After that I was committed to it and fished it that year and the next producing a few more nice fish on it. It was then that I realized a bigger lure meant fewer but bigger fish. While I could fish the lures on the ugly stick it was not ideal and started searching for a rod meant for a larger lure. When I searched for one rods meant for swimbaits kept popping up which led me to swimbaiting in general.
