  1. Night shift, Hand numbered 2out of 2 from the BABC shoot out
  2. Cheers guys! All of this info is much appreciated! I’ll post pix when I get my next paycheck
  3. There’s a few contenders in the NWOBHM world that can hold a candle to SAXON! One of my daily listens/drinking tunes is “princess of the night” How many costume changes did Halford do? One every song!?!
  4. I’m leaning towards conquest or D series, the $200 difference is a super small, tiny, mouse fart in the wind factor but my only real concern is if the Series D has habitual break downs or common weaknesses across the board
  5. I’ve been looking into purchasing one of the Calcutta models (b series, conquest, d series) to fill out my 8’-6” irod XH. I have a Cardiff A on my Dobyns 8’ and in all honesty I would rate it “decent” or “nothing to write home about” with that being said the obvious price difference between the Calcutta and Cardiff seems to indicate a higher quality in the Calcutta series. My inquiries are geared more towards the differences between the 3 models (cast ability, smoothness, drag, general performance and durability) any personal experiences or opinions with any or all 3 would be greatly appreciated....
  6. 1/2 of boat #13 checking in 🤤
  7. Shoddy pictures of incantation last night. Less than 100 people in a small bar with killer sound!! Phobia opened up and played the hits from ‘means of existence’ and exhumed headlined playing a bulk of rippers from ‘death revenge’ and ‘slaughtercult.’
  8. My self and the artist known as @Gooniewolfe will be there.
  9. Pro point underspins with the screw lock have treated me real good for smallies, durable and works on any soft plastic.
  10. “It’s not about the length of your hair it’s about the way you think†CRUCIFIED, BASSHEAD ARMY!!!!
  11. I use reel magic as line conditioner and on my guides when it starts freezing, but wd40 is about $5 cheaper and does indeed have anise in it.
  12. I didn’t even know about it. Thanks for the heads up Brhodes! I DID see that Roger Miret released his book a month or so ago. If it’s anything like “evolution of a cro-magnon†I’m buyin.
  13. Check out WesternBass.com they have a decent forum with current lake reports for most Northern California lakes.
  14. LTBSAVESQ1 or LTBSAVES1Q I can't remember which is correct. $5 off total order.
  15. if your looking for a "bang for your buck" deal go buy a handful of Storm's " kickin' slab " 4" single treble hook in bluegill and crappie. They do the job and only run $4-$6 a piece, plus at that price you will be able to buy a pack of good split rings and decent trebles to change out so you won't be dealing with losing fish as a result of shoddy manufacturers terminal, and still have some dough left over to get wicked pissed.
  16. I ordered one in sterile trout, after the 25% off it comes to $22.49, BUT what's the deal with it? I've searched the threads and it seems like it's a split decision that people like em or hate em no middle ground. Anyone feel like adding some pros and cons from experience? My interest in this has nothing to do with buyers remorse but more along the lines that: A. It's a nice price for a 9" swimbait with multiple hook options B. It legit looks like a mentally handicapped trout that could be an easy meal C. B.Brown had a hand in designing this and he is a big bass icon so logic would dictate he knows what he's doing (bait wise)
  17. 25# is adequate but if you want to try 30# give it a go. I re-tie only if needed ( line fray, knot slippage, kinks) but strain can always be a factor when hucking the big boys out there but more than likely, if it wasn't actually a toothy bastard, it was a bad batch of pline, I've had the same issues with their floro in the past. If the break was near or at least 6" up from the bait it could also be a possibility that your first 2 eyelets have some type or crack or abrasive resistance or that when cinching the knot you are pulling to hard but you would see the "line wave " from the knot up. Some times you just gotta charge it to the game, dawg.
  18. I played bass in THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA for a few years, 2010-2013. We played a a389 showcase with ringworm and integrity that was one of the best shows I've seen...ever! Intense drinking and violence abound!!!!
  19. I have a stash of the originals they weigh around 3/4-1oz.(dr.meter scale is a pile of garbage) not sure if that's any help.
  20. "The promise" is one of my all time favorites, no one can top the human furnace! Holy Ghost rips also.
  21. ive thrown the top hook shad with straight braid (40#) in some of my local rocky bottom ponds, banging it off boulders and wood, with decent success landing a handful of 3s & 4s. But variables always factor, 4 out of 5 have been at dusk or night, either during pre-spawn or fall transition into winter, and obviously the top hook shad is lighter and shorter than the 68. I do agree with Csweitzer that the visibility factor plays into it more than the vibration but I would lean more toward that in full light situations rather than dawn/dusk or night.
