I used some lead golf tape on one of my 168 s wavers. Longevity wise I don’t know how long it will last. The tape is showing a little bit of wear just from a couple trips. But I’m happy with extra weight and it’s not permanent. This S Waver I also shaved out the joint and the extra weight lets me fish it a little faster and a little more aggressive. I know it’s not a very good photo but I don’t have any of just the lure But you can see the lead tape on the bottom.
Awesome, thanks for the tip.
I'll give it a shot. I may mess around with shaving the joint in one of mine as well. Certainly couldn't hurt to be different.

Thanks guys!
I'll try the rings. It came with 4X hooks but I'll swap em out to Owners with bigger double rings and see if that helps.

I'd like to get my Waver 68s a little deeper. I was thinking about using those storm strips or dots but I wasn't sure if they would affect the action or not.
Have any of you used them or have any advice for getting them to sink a tad faster?
Thank you in advance.

Why would you choose not to fish during a bloom? Is it a toxic bloom?
Blooms are normal here in CA and we still catch em during them.

I could see that working for the guys who "rivet" rig keitech's and such.

If you want a possibility of both in one day the Delta is the way to go. I landed my PB largemouth AND lineside on the same day.
Aside from that, clear lake, Berryessa & Don Pedro are solid choices that consistently put out DD's and numerous quality fish.

My buddy had a solid bag last week throwing a slammer and punker at night.

I'd love to see them make a large wood walking bait myself.
I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open ...

Thanks for the review. I'll be looking to add an 806 later this year as the water cools and our SB bite improves.

Thanks for the review. I'm just getting into throwing bigger baits and will definitely give it a shot. I have several Furys and have been extremely impressed with the quality and action. I don't think there's a better rod in that price point.

I prefer to pay by PayPal.

Nothing over 3lbs today but I boated 12 fish on the Waver today. I'm hooked. Time to diversify and try some new baits.
