Glad I saw these. I was about to post a new thread asking what is up with the dudes at LDC. I paid for my rod in October and still haven't received it.

Looks like you already did it, but grab a range of some cheaper baits (glides, plastics, topwater) that you don't have to worry about losing. 8" HUDs, Slammers are realtivley cheap, and maybe some big MF'n 10-12" glide that's pretty cheap. Then you will learn what type of bait is best for you, and wont have to clench every time you huck your Hinkle.

If you ever want sell the rejects, I think I know of a good home for them...

If you could only have one bait for a year...

Definitely a Hinkle shad. I feel that you can fish it shallow or deep, fast or slow as long as you are patient. It also has a bigger profile than a 250, which in theory would yield a larger fish. But they both produce. If I were to change region I think I might go with a different pattern depending on the region, but still the same bait. -
Will they be up on the website? or get them through you on here?

I think the Cashion rod that you are talking about is a flipping and pitching rod. I am all for using a rod for my swimbaitery that is not marketed to do so, but I would not use a rod that is only able to handle 1-4oz to throw glide baits. Many glide baits are more than 4oz. As far as the brand goes, Cashion does make some pretty nice rods. I have a 7' MH with the micro-guides that I use for weighted and weightless plastics, and it is great. Super strong and super light. 10/10 would recommend, just not for throwing glides.
