    For sale or interested in trading for an Avet 30W/50W 2 speeds or Tiagra 30W/50W 2 speeds. Shimano Calcutta Conquest 400. Bought here used and have too many reels that don’t get used. In great mechanical condition and good cosmetic condition and smooth as butter. Comes with reel cover. $350 Deps 250 Trout. Again bought here used and not something I throw much.     Been working on a project and wanted to share and get any advice or pointers you guys might be willing to share. Been wanting a Shad Glide for a while and just can't bring myself to pay for some of the higher priced models so I decided to try and build my own. My home lakes are mainly Shad based forage so I think this will be the ticket especially with the hybrids and stripers!!! My plan is to make a one piece wood master and then mold the bait and test joint placement and weighting. First I want to perfect a glide and then I plan on making a multi joint version as well. Once I have them dialed in I'll go back and remold the individual baits. Just getting started good so I would appreciate any thoughts changes or tweaks to my build. There's a ton of amazing baits on this site I've taken things and techniques from already so thanks everyone. Here she is.

    Went out Saturday with my boss chasing some stripes in N. Ga. He's a live bait guy so I threw some swimbaits while we drug some herring around. Saw a good boil and threw past it and a couple reel turns later got hammered on a Lite Trout S-waver 200. Put up a good fight but was no match for the Conquest 400, Dobyns 806, and 20 lb P-line combo. Second ever swimbait fish so I was pumped big time!!! Didn't weigh him but definitely a fun catch. My boss later caught a 20lber on live bait so hopefully one day I'll hook into one of that size on a swimmer! Nothing too impressive but just wanted to share and say thanks to everyone here that contributes and encourages. The amount of info on this site is amazing and I'll hopefully be able to contribute and give some tips one day. Again thanks to all and here she is.

    Just wanted to introduce myself and say what an amazing site. Tons of info and theories on how to approach this style of fishing. Made it through 30 pages of the underground so far and have learned a ton already! I'm from Northeast Ga and have a couple of big bait rigs with some hudds, a TT, and 168 S-waver. Have a Deps 175, another TT, and a 9" Slammer on the way so the addiction has begun lol. Caught my first swimbait fish over Thanksgiving break out of a pond on an 8" TT so now I'm hooked! Looking forward to learning and hopefully contributing someday!
