  2. Buyer fell through. Still for trade, not really interested in selling outright. Let me now what you got.
  3. Ignore this post please. My phone made 3 instead of editing one. Sorry SU

  8. That's crazy. Bass up there are not big. I'm originally from Vermont and catching a 5lber is like the holy grail. I'm definitly check him out. Thanks for the info.
  9. I seen the YouTube videos, mostly all tactical bassins stuff. Those guys know their stuff! But it's difficult for me to apply what they say to the east coast. Especially when they're fishing giant lakes that are hugely populated with trophy bass. I know the best teacher is trial and error but lakes are still a little frozen over here, soaking up all the information i can before i get at it. Thank you! It did help, especially Butch Brown!
  10. Thanks for the info! Right now i have a very small collection. Ima Glide Fluke 7", Spro BBZ 8" Rainbow Trout R2S S-Waver 168 and, Jackall Gantarel Spawn Gill. Some inexpensive baits for now. Really looking to get a decently priced Hinkle Shad, Bull Shad and Deps 175 or 250 Thank you!
  11. But i will definitely have to get used to thumbing such a heavy bait. Most of my other reels are set up so i barrel have to thumb at all. Hopefully it'll come with time..... Hopefully... lol thanks for the input!
  12. I think I'm just going to have to get used to it. And the more i think about it the more i think the shop over spooled it.
  13. I got it brand new. I just think maybe I'm not used to a round reel and it feels much tighter than out would on a typical low pro bait caster. I'll let y'all know this weekend, out of town on work right now. Thanks for all the input!
  14. I'm in central Virginia (Powhatan area) just wondering if anyone on here is in the area and has some tips on what swimbaits are decent for the area. Pretty concerned about colors. No real shad where I'm fishing. Thanks y'all.
  15. Yes I tried adjusting the VBS, and nothing. I will definitely try that Garrett. And I had it spooked at Green Top (my local fishing store) but it still doesn't explain why I have to tighten my CC knob extremely tight to get a 2.5 ounce lure to slow down. Thanks for the info though!
  16. I was also thinking may be too much line on the spool but I had them do it at my local fishing shop, and I would think they'd know how much line to put in it.... maybe? Lol.
  17. I've searched other threads and all over Google but couldn't find an answer, that being said I just bought a Cardiff 400 for a starter swimbait reel. I was out messing around with it yesterday trying to get a good feel for it but every cast I'd get serious overrun, no matter what I did with the brakes. Almost like the top 3 layers of line become very loose. I started adjusting my cast control knob and found I have to tighten it extremely hard to get any affect whatsoever, I don't think I should have to tighten it that much but this is my first round reel so maybe I'm just over thinking it. I was throwing a Jackall Gantarel on 20lb Flouro on a TFO G. Loomis edition 7'11" Mag Heavy. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
