    Hey so just got off work today and some how completely resolved the issue, so everything above in my post was the situation before today, when going through all the evidence I had so that I could contact PayPal and try and get resolution there I found his phone number. He was quick to pay me back although he didn't pay fees so I lost 8 dollars overall but no big deal, he made it sound like he never heard back from megabass or somehow thought I got the rod.... Idk I want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, just seems odd he never followed up after he told me he would and was just hanging on to my money

    So I purchased a megabass rod from a SU member back in the end of January, in the following days he tells me he broke the rod trying to get it packed up for shipping and that a new one would be sent to me from megabass. After I don't hear from him for a while and have not received the rod I realize he hasn't been on SU since a few weeks after that deal, and still has not been on.... I was really busy with my last semester of college and following up immediately kind of slipped my mind and he also made it sound like it could take a month or two to get the new rod from Japan. It has been 194 days since the transaction ... I did goods and services but from what I have read on PayPal I doubt I have a chance to settle the claim through PayPal and get my money back, I just sent him an email yesterday so fingers crossed that he responds but if he knowingly took my money, which is likely, then he probably won't respond or be helpful. Any advice on what can be done? Any alternative ways to get my money back if PayPal tells me I am SOL? I realize it is likely just a lesson learned... But thanks for any and all advice!
