  1. Anyone got a new flag 255 for a reasonable price?
  2. Anyone know how/why these are coming back? Did he finally complete all the backlogged wood rat orders?
  3. So I should take mine out of the box and fish it? What situations have you found it to be most effective? I have water temps in the mid 40s right now in NJ so wondering if it will be better suited closer to the spawn when the gills are around shallow.
  4. 9oz glide too big for me but I did cop a Chad shad in moonpie. Seems like a good color for tannic water.
  5. I just looked it up online, I think I might actually have one, will have to give it a shot. Thanks!
  6. Is the roll lip like the minnow lip for tk? I may need to grab one because last time I was out I was dead walking k9 with regular lip but it was getting a little too deep in some spots and scraping bottom.
  7. Nice one. What mode were you fishing the K9 in?
  8. Well that’s not very confidence inspiring. Hopefully I hear back soon.
  9. Which KGB’s did you end up getting? My first swimbait fish of the year came on a Chad shad this month. Also, with the taxi trout, do you find it’s a 1 bite a day type bait or do you still get the 2-3 pounders to eat it?
  10. Anyone buy a hyper Shad blank recently? I bought one on Monday, still haven’t gotten any tracking. I sent an email asking when it will ship but haven’t heard back yet. Guessing maybe they are at the classic or something and not around. Just curious if anyone else has feedback on this builder recently.
  11. They have seasonal items sometimes, guessing this is tied to spring.
  12. What retrieves do you use for the hyper for LM vs SM? Everyone says fish it blank and I saw there were blanks up on the site this morning so ended up ordering one.
  13. I remember this! You were on an insane run. The DS definitely gets bit.
  14. I was gonna caveat this thread with klash 9 and tk I wouldn’t consider true glides. Because I expected to get a lot of replies with those 2 baits. For me klash 9 while not a true glide, in glide mode, has probably been my best bait for size and numbers. If I remember correctly it holds your PB but that was cranking/deadwalking? Ive caught many more big fish on wakes vs glides, but I love fishing glides due to the visual nature of the baits. I’ve been experimenting with some bigger glides but haven’t really dialed in what the ideal size / bait is that gets size and numbers. The really big stuff for me gets a follow or two a day, maybe one bite, whereas I can catch multiple fish on some of the smaller baits but don’t see the bigger fish even follow most days. Although recently I caught a nice fish on a Chad shad and it got me thinking as to what size / profile could be best for the northeast. I know different situations and bodies of water will vary, but just generally speaking about northern strain largemouth I’ve been thinking and experimenting with different options. Figured there are guys out there who have probably been through this and might have feedback. Although the journey is indeed half the fun. I have a hyper Shad I need to put more time into. Never caught a fish on one but that’s another bait I expected to come up in this thread.
  15. NE guys represent! What do you think the best glides are for our region for both size and numbers? Bgc 7” has been the best numbers glide for me but I’m still searching for something that gets size as well.
  16. How does the 8.5” fish? Any comparisons vs hoog and bgc trout?
  17. There’s a thread over in the main forum. I was hoping to get some updated feedback myself on the 8’ Heavy model.
  18. I run all Mets for my conventional stuff and I would definitely get one over a tranx. If you wait to sales or order overseas you can get one 20-30% off retail. its going to be lighter than the bantam and I believe they have brass gears so you shouldn’t have any issues with power fishing. I’ve never owned a bantam but huge fan of the Metanium. I’ve also owned some of the Steez’s and prefer the Met by far. if you were doing deep cranking or light swimbait duty that’s probably where the bantam would take precedence but for spinnerbaits you will 100% be happy with the Met.
  19. Thanks for the feedback. I’m specifically interested in the 8’ version because 8’6 is kinda long for me.
  20. Anyone with feedback on these? Considering the 8’ heavy as a glide and wake rod for 3-5 oz baits. Not sure if it will be too stiff for mainly treble duty.
  21. Are you fishing the micro mink on fluoro or copoly/mono? I’m assuming fluoro would help it to crank down, but not sure if that would completely eliminate the wake. I’ve only fished mine on copoly but I usually fish it as a wake.
  22. Kenta Kimura is known to throw the tiny klash on tour
  23. To be clear I’m not talking about fishing the K9 in glide mode. I have that down well - it’s how I’ve caught all my K9 fish so far. What I want to try this year is deadwalking it (twitching it) with the lip in.
  24. Learned how to deadwalk the tk last year and caught a number of fish as well as my biggest on the year. I was using combo of minnow lip / regular lip and the v tail. How are guys deadwalking the k9 and has it been as productive as tk deadwalk? What kind of lip and tail? I had my most success with the tk slow twitching it in spring. I assume K9 would be same or similar application?
