  5. Oh so this isn’t even for like the k9 or tk? just the frenzy?
  6. Is this drop from DRT gonna just be a collab with bl8nkt? Also how are drops usually from drt? Are they gonna be really hard to get or what do y’all think? Also which K9 do you guys prefer for gliding? Hi or Low float?
  7. IMG_8163.MOV IMG_8163.MOV IMG_8163.MOV Reel slipped off during hookset! Talk about amateur hour. My favorite catch so far. Tight reels and tight lines boys, Merry Xmas!
  8. So you use the low float for dead walking?
  9. Merry Christmas guys! Which of the two are more desired between the two? From what I see the low float seems to be the more desired, i’m wondering why? Also what applications do you guys use for each?
  10. I didnt even order from this guy but im curious if anyone recieved their baits from hinkle?
  11. theres a bone one on his website if that tickles your fancy.
  12. I am relatively new as well but one suggestion i can give from my short experience is if you’re a bank fisherman for the time being, floating baits are good because you can retrieve them if you cast them off easier from the bank (won’t happen much after you learn how to properly cast). I’ve heard of people diving in to get their bait back but I live in Florida so I wouldn’t dare cause of gators. Good luck though this community is great man.
  13. The line is snapping at the knot. Whenever i retrieve the bait (thank god its a floating) theres no line left on it. So the knots is also probably a big part of it, if not the whole problem. No backlash either.
  14. @Whammy @DrewManFishing Thanks guys for helping out. I wasn't expecting all this info!
  15. Would you guys agree that my rod and 20 pound line would be good to throw a bait like a wade hoggs?
  16. Thank you man, im gonna take that advice for sure and also gonna watch some videos to see how to properly cast swimbaits. Definitely gonna take another look at the rod too.
  17. What line have you had success with in your experience?
  18. I’ve checked the guides and i’m pretty sure they’re okay. I haven’t put much thought into the technique though. What’s interesting is today it snapped on my second cast, but the first time it snapped like a week ago it was on my like 15th cast. So there’s a big chance technique might have a big role in it. Maybe i got “lucky” on my first day with it lol.
  19. My line keeps snapping when I throw my wade hoggs. I am a bank fisherman for the time being and have been extra careful to not lose it. Ive had too many close calls and am scared to throw it. I have a dobyns fury 806 sb thats rated for 2-8 ounces. I am currently using Sunline fc sniper fluoro 20 pound. I use a clinch knot. Im not sure where to go from here. Im going to learn how to tie the san diego jam and maybe try to get a hold of seaguar abrasx. Other than this I have no idea where to go from here. I feel like people throw heavier baits with less but would love any help I can get guys. I will say my rod doesnt seem like it can handle a 4 ounce bait so maybe thats a start, but I have np point of reference since im new to swimbait fishing. I am saving for a jon boat and dont need to waste money on more baits haha. Thanks SU.
