rippinlipsal
I'm just getting into swimbaiting and was wondering if there were any baits or techniques that work for y'all in the south. I'm from Alabama. Any tips or tricks are greatly appreciated.
buzzed bait
I’m in GA so a little similar to some of the AL stuff, but I’m no pro so take this for what it’s worth!! I’d look for a multi jointed swimmer like a 6” bullshad or a 3:16 freestyle shad, a rat (spro 50 is a great option that’s somewhat inexpensive or a Toxic Micro Mink is another excellent choice), a softbait like a 3:16 rising son (weedless would probably be good if you’re fishing a lot of grass in AL) and lastly if you want to splurge a little on a fish catching machine look for a Toxic Wade Hoggs wake bait and throw that thing from now until winter time! rippinlipsal
rippinlipsal
Thanks! Will definitely look into rats and a Wade Hoggs. Already have a 6" Bullshad and a couple of soft baits that have produced so far! buzzed bait
