Hello everyone, I decided to mold my original bluegill wake n crank swimbait. playing with some to be glides, wakes and the strawberry swirl pattern one to be a 3 piece. I posted everything at this stage to show some already with belly weights and some just minutes out of the mold. Pretty cool to see

Some progress has been made. Far 3 left baits are still pending on what I'll do with them. The rest are wakes, cranks, multi joint, and one top water walk the dog bait (no lip top middle)

Whats the purpose of placing "lip and tail slot indicators" instead of casting them straight into the mold?

I wanted to be able to make waking, wake 'n' crank, and deep diving models (Which is why there are many different lips). If I had the lip straight in the mold it would be more difficult to get other actions. I totally agree though, because I have to make a lip slot each time on either of my molds.

I have two molds:

One without a lip/tail slot that uses screw eyes.

One mold with a tail slot and has swiveling hook hangers.

Here's what I'm referring too, I'm able to use different lips at different angles to test. Wire only hook hangers, swiveling and screw eyes hooklets. I'll be giving one away

4.5# (#1) on the bait @azsouthsaid looked like $$$ haha

~2# (#2 bait)

~3# (#2 bait with no tail)

Took a quick picture on the grass and took my time making sure they were well to swim off. I hate keeping fish out of water too long.

A moveable tail will help with the action as a wake! It's so nice catching fish on baits you make.

The plastic tails are very flexible and there is some space in the tail slot for the tails to wiggle a lot.
