NEbucketmouth19
How do you all approach a lake that has just turned over? Besides "go somewhere else" haha. Pulled up to my local lake yesterday to find the deeper basin turned to chocolate milk (relatively, it's usually very clear and was down to about a foot of visibility). The northern shallow area seemed normal so that's where I focussed on, fishing the windblown shores and deeper (again, relative, like 8 feet) areas. azsouth
If it's a violent turn over like you are describing, that puts the fish in basically a no bite pattern...Drastic changes in clarity and temperature will most of the time "shock the fish" Jim137a and NEbucketmouth19
urbanhick
I focus on shallow ponds during turnover. I'm heading to one now with a max depth of 20 feet and thats in one small area. If thats not an option focus on the shallow clear water with green weeds. NEbucketmouth19 and NicePizzaBass
