BPayne
Greetings all, I’ve been super busy with work and just now got around to fishing for the very first time of 2024 today. I was hoping for a bass, but this lake has a pretty solid population of bowfin in it as well, so there is always the chance of attracting one of these nasty bass turds . Anyways…first fish of the year is a 5lb5oz bowfin on a WCZ TK in mode B with a transfer tail and a 1g board weight. Pretty cool eat. Cheers. The Baron
I never knew bowfin would hit a swimbait. We’ve had a couple crazy blowups on a frog, including my 13yo son hooking one last year and thinking he had his PB bass - it was quite a fight!
