Question on reel size for 6 to 8 inch harness style swimbaits like cull shad and magdraft

Hey all, I had a question on reel size for my dedicated harness style swimbait rod. Primarily the magdraft and cull shad and other kinds. I’m wanting to get the best reel for my setup. The rod I currently bought for this dedicated combo is a Megabass P5 Destroyer BMG. I’m not a brand snob by any means. But every reel own is Daiwa. I’m thinking a 300 sized reel would be way too big for this application? What size reel and what brand would you recommend? From pitching and flipping wood to skipping docks and other cover? Any advice would help tremendously. With the few years I’ve thrown them here in Illinois, I’ve noticed I feel I fish the bait better and to it’s potential with a 5 ratio Tatula. When trying 6 ratios I feel the bait rises to much. No matter the line size etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Kyle
