Bassassin
I have a have DC 201 reel and the tension knob is not engaging. Do yall know what's wrong? Even if the tension is fully locked, the lure will still drop slow/medium on a open spool. Also when the tension knob is fully locked, you can still reel/retrieve like normal without any spool rotating resistance. Thanks
MountainMan83
Have you removed the knob to see if the brake washers/shims are still in place? What happens if you add a shim?

mjs90
Have you taken the spool out and cleaned the shaft? I've had similar issues as you with a few reels and that was always the issue. Including my Curado DC. Sometimes the shaft/where you insert it gets gunked up from water seeping in over time Edited April 16 by mjs90 Bassassin and Splitshot
