trw1273 Posted July 17, 2011 Report Share Posted July 17, 2011 Fished San Clemente last week for calicos. The bite was on. Caught a ton on a waking hyper herring till it flew off on a cast. Burning it a couple of feet below the surface or slow waking it on top it didnt matter. Lots of fish on soft swimbaits and slugs as well. That was my first time there if you like fishing calicos that place is heaven. Cant wait to go back. Fished the Coronado Islands last night for a steady bite on 3-4 lb calicos.
