mhartley1994
I use a G. Loomis BBR964c for my 6" Bull Shads and I absolutely love it. It loads up phenomenally and has a very parabolic bend, which keeps fish pinned. Also, where its an 8' rod, you can cast Bull Shads, and other swimbaits 1-2oz, a country mile. Ive got a Daiwa Tatula 100HL on it right now spooled with 20b CXX and I couldn't ask for a better Bull Shad setup. This is my biggest fish on this setup so far. Not a giant, but a nice fish. Ckjacks12
Loomis BBR 965 for 6". Buddy throws his 5" on a 904 or 964. In my experience, there is a big difference in throwing the 5" and 6" even though there's only .65 oz difference. 5" throws more like a Crankbait and the 6" is more of a sidearm lob for me. I would pick the 964 if you were throwing the 5"more and 965 if you were throwing the 6" more. Either rod will work, but if you had to pick one.....
