Muleyfreak
What gear ratio do you prefer 6.4.1 or 5.4.1? Going to try revo toro 60 NACL. Only throwing 250s on this rod.

NorCalBass
6:4:1 for sure, working the 250 on a 5:1 is a hassle
colbypearson
I always end up using atleast a 7.0:1, but end up using my 8.5:1 a lot too...... Shits wack, but anything else feels weird.

BigBaiter
5:1 works pretty well for me. A big lure with slower presentation lures the big ones!!

vikingbear8
I like 5:1 and 5:4 I can work any bait as fast as I could ever possibly need too. A lot of it has to do with your reel size as well, I only use 400 size reels, the line pick up is more on them. You might have a tough time using a 200 size reel at 5:

SWIMBO
Wakes rising sons and hudds I like 5:1 Glides 6:3 Punkers 7:1 That's just my preference
urbanhick
I throw the 250 on a NaCl 60 6.4:1 and it works perfect. I also use a toro winch for throwing big lipped diving baits to reduce fatigue. Was also thinking about getting a revo bug shooter to cover all the ratios.
