International Shipping: bought bait from Japan, package in US now but....

So guys, usually when I buy a bait from Japan it goes through New York, ISC New York...and when it gets there it's usually there for only a day and then updates and moves along, I get it here in town and usually have to pick it up because I'm not there to sign. yada yada...

 

But my bait arrived there on the 11th and I've seen not one update from this status. This is kind of annoying considering I paid a considerable sum for this bait and usually I have my baits from Japan within a week, maybe two at most.  I mean, small package here...why is it sitting there?

 

Any similar experience?

I've had packages held in customs for months. Japan usually isn't an issue though.

Give it some time, NY and NJ are the worst

sometimes they come in a week, sometimes over a month. I have one now with 2 baits that has been in Japan for 3 weeks..it will arrive before spring so no worries.

Also in VA.  Had a lure from Japan sit in NY for 9 days last month.  Never had that happen before but it arrived 2 days after leaving NY..

Ordered from japan took about 2 weeks said it wasnt even in the us till i recieved it.

They're just making sure there is no Japanese high grade booger sugar in there.

I'm in NY and the same happened to me just a few months ago. It should update within a week, I'd say.

Don't worry about it.

 

I've had many things shipped from Japan to NY.  It arrives at NY ISC, then I wouldn't see an update for several days.  Then my stuff gets transferred to Western Nassau(wtf?), then shipped back through NYC to me in the hudson valley.

The one thing that I've noticed since the new year is that my stuff sits at ISC/no updates because nobody scans the package for longer than usual.

Every time I've ordered something. it usually takes/took a week.  During the holidays was a different story, of course.
