Went back 45 pages and could not find a write up on Nol... had a bad experience with him a couple years ago and thought he had left the forum so I did not bother writing anything up. This post made me realize he is still around:

Here is what happened: Nol was the original owner of the bait. Nol busted the bait on a dock and asked Butch Brown what he should do. Butch said epoxy the bait back together. Nol epoxied the bait together and swapped the foil from flash trout to a custom carp foil. 

 

Nol then sold the bait to his friend "Alex" (as referenced in the original post) for $120. Nol posted on SU, on behalf of his friend Alex (for $200), without mentioning that the bait was previously busted and repaired by himself.

 

I purchase the bait from "Alex" (no SU account) for $200.

 

Later, I want to trade the Custom Carp 250 and I am offered $255 by Maverickrod. I accept offer from him, and sell him the bait. 

 

Maverickrod posts on SU wanting to trade the Deps for some gear. Nol contacts Mavrickrod that he was the original owner of the bait, it was previously busted, and that he sold the bait to this friend Alex for $120. With the general tone letting Mavrickrod know he got ripped of by me.

 

Mavrickrod then contacts me understandably frustrated. Through PMs and phone calls with Mavrickrod, we figured out the situation. 

 

Summary: Nol posted and sold a bait without saying the bait was previously busted, while he clearly new the history of the bait. Don't do business with Nol.
