FishDr
I'm impressed that you're getting these during the day. Is the water you're fishing pretty clear or murky?

Is the water you're fishing pretty clear or murky? crystal clear water, I fish them in the deepest pockets I can find that have slack water pooled up from fast moving water, usually catch them on a good drop off from a flat in a river. Nice - I've not had a chance to fish for walleye in rivers - most of the rivers around my part of Colorado don't support much in the way of walleye. My 28.5 incher was during the day in clear water I've caught a couple of 30" class fish by day, generally in clear water, but the majority of the big 'eyes I've crossed paths with have been working the vampire shift.
