jimishmong
Hi, I am pretty new to forum type websites which I am clearly lost at finding information. But I am relatively new to the swimbait fishing techniques but I always hear about changing hooks. I have a deps 175 slide swimmer, does the stock hooks need to be changed or if it is preferred. I am also pretty new to the switching hook game lol. What brand and size hook would make the deps 175 have it's regular stocked hook action. On the side note, changing split rings are a good addition too? Thanks guys
Drew Strong
You can change hooks on a deps but if you do make sure you use the same weight hooks and split rings do it doesn’t affect the action of the bait. carlsbadbassin89
carlsbadbassin89
If they are new, use the stock ones until they are dull they are just fine. Then I Owner st-36 1/0 and Owner Hyper Wire split rings size #5. There is a chart with what baits should have what hooks pinned in the forums. jimishmong
Thanks guys, the hook chart shows a 250 that is why I was not sure if it'll play with the action on the
Andrewwang1769
I use the st-46 on my deps 175 and deps 250s

What is the weight of the stock hooks. I’ve been searching for days trying to find out what hooks are stock and keep getting conflicting answers. I think either st 54 or st 34 or something
