chefchris Posted November 27, 2019 Report Share Posted November 27, 2019 His ratings are real ratings, I have the 806, 867 and 908. They all throw to the high end listed and below they’re listing. The MVT is a super nice build for a production rod that’s not crazy $$. its a faster action rod, I use my 806 for mostly single hook soft baits up to 3oz (rated 1-4) and it throw some lighter treble hook baits on it without issue. the 807 is the same rod style with a higher rating. hookedonbigbaits Posted November 27, 2019 Report Share Posted November 27, 2019 I run my MVT 807 paired with a Tranx 200 (I like the smaller size) and throw jig baits as well as trebled baits up to 8 ounces. I really like it for baits I’m that 4-7 ounce range. Toxic wade hoggs, Trucha Masu, Deps 250. I’ve also thrown the DRT Ghost on it which is almost 9 ounces and it felt good too!
