I had that same one and eventually snapped after a few uses rubbing against brush. I wish I could tell you the brand and thickness of the braid but here’s a pic. Glad you were able to save that workhorse!!! @NikLaw1 I use the Daiwa reel for trebled baits and the red punch weights for soft baits with single hooks. I fish a lot of deep brush piles and lay downs so these are a must and used often. That’s my second Daiwa setup that’s why it looks new. I also want to buy the one Dan mentioned above it looks nice for large swimbaits— definitely a heavier duty version of the Daiwa.
