I can't count the number of times In have fished a hudd or a son or any other swimbait for that matter and not got a follower...doesn't mean it doesn't work. Could be just wrong place wrong time...or it could also just not be the right bait for your style of fishing; but that is a whole different topic. For me it's simple - it either puts fish in the boat or it doesn't. Other big baits were getting bit, this one wasn't. Natural colors were getting bit, bright white wasn't. FS Herring was getting crushed (I know it's a bit smaller) and the sinking BA in koke got a lot of attention once I figured out how to fish it. It's the same size as the big FS. Looks like the bait fits the profile of the shad their better, even though i keep catching mutant 13"+ gills. So, shad it is.
