Best packaging is to go buy a piece of 3” heavy wall PVC from a hardware or big box store and pad the rod very well inside. It will save you money as most of the post office people have no clue how to bill you and try to attach a ballon charge for the rods. Enter length, height , width, and circumference of the tube.
