SU News SU News Posted March 6, 2020 SU News Report Share Posted March 6, 2020 *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* Underground Stash: In February we started something called Underground Stash on our social media pages. Our crew will hide some gear at a location then post a photo giving our followers a hint of the location. Our followers can then head to the location and claim the SU gear for themselves. Upon receiving the stash all we ask is that you can take a picture and tag us so that we know it has been claimed. We have a few more of these planned so make sure to stay up to date with our socials to see if you recognize the next location and claim an Underground Stash for yourself. Underground Stash PB Section: @mcaetano2905's previous PB was broken in January 2002. This month he was able to break his PB with a northern strain largemouth going 6.24lbs x 22.2” long using a Savage Gear Glide Swimmer 205 in Portugal. This just so happens to be his first fish using the new bait as well. Congratulations on the new personal best! Head over to the PB section to see other member’s personal bests, we are expecting even more this time of year. PB Section SUTV: @gradycodd put together an insightful video explaining how he rigs his Baitsmith Magnums and why he favors his methods vs alternative approaches. Thank you for sharing some of your knowledge. Click on the photo above to view the rigging tutorial or follow the link below to view other member's videos in he SUTV section. SUTV February SUB: The February SUB tournament had a good amount of participants with some solid fish submitted. @Bassjak_ secured the win this month with a twelve pounder displayed on his WCZ board. His weapon of choice used to land this trophy bass was the 9.5” Hawg Hunter Magnum Trout. Congrats, Jason! He will be given a SU gear pack as well as a spot to compete in the 2020 Battle for the Underground. You can now sign up for the March SUB tournament, follow the link and comment “In” before the code is provided to be eligible. March SUB Signups Got'em: SU member @Fishstix024 lined up his first cast of the day during a small fishing derby and got smoked on a Huddleston while creeping the bait up a main lake point. The six pounder was enough to earn them first place & biggest fish in the tournament. Congratulations on the win! For more swimbait catches from our members check out the Got’em section linked below. mcaetano2905
Thanks! And thanks everyone who helped me with tips! Today I caught another big fish. Actually I caught my second largest bass ever at 5.64lbs, on one of the swimbaits I make. I'll post pictures of it now and maybe tomorrow I'll post the cast to catch video!
