For context I have an Antares DC MD XG that I was going to sell but I wanted to get a tranx 300 or 400 to replace it with and I want to fish bigger baits on it to see if it performs. Is this reel a good pair up for this rod? And what would you say is the true maximum and minimum weight this rod can throw comfortably?
