Never fished off the rocks at the wedge, just be sure there is no big swells.. Also, some of the good kelp spots are no off limits for fishing, unless you spear fish. They always bite the shaft I know, the local kelp beds are 10 mins. from me. Use to fish from my float tube, now I have to stick to the bays..fuggers. I've tried mend it around the tube and the weight but it falls out after a few casts. Anyone have experience fixing this? I hate using super glue on soft baits.
