  1. I wouldn't discount Evans so easily. Bones is gettin a tad uppity, i.e. s big head imho, so while I'd like to see Evans win, I don't think it will happen, Jones has to big of an advantage size wise, and prolly has more of an arsenal than Evans, but you never can predict what will happen.. The fight I wanna see is Nate Diaz vs Jim Miller, that could be interesting..
  2. I use to out at least 4 to 5 times a week, now..not so much. Usually once, maybe twice week..
  3. Your missing out... Checkers out of a "lake"...
  4. 20lb copoly for me.. I gave up using braid on the missionfish, only 1 bite in about 20 days of fishing it.
  5. Dang..1 of my fave riders, along with R.D. and R.V.. Good luck this season.
  6. I would call and check their stock before rolling over there.. I made a trip from Torrance once, only to find they were really low on them....wasted time, and diesel fuel..
  7. Congratz.. I missed by 3 ozs...
  8. Ditto, If he still has it..
  9. Found some for ya.. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/search ... k=&maxAsk=
  10. Saw a couple on CL last week, there was a nice Catfish for a reasonable price. Go to sporting and do a search on float tubes. Good Luck.
  11. I noticed some duplicate guess's in here. Not to offend, but I'll say 4lbs 8ozs. BTW, good on ya..

    Not a Teener

Yeah, we need Ofish al weights..
  13. Dang Geoff sorry to hear this. I didn't read all the post's, but did you guys do a title search before you put $$ down for the fix it stuff..? Anyways, I agree with Donkey, look into small claims to recoup some, or all of the $$$...
  14. Knot failing..? What type of line are you using..? Avoid baits with bottom treble hooks in weedy areas. Baits with a top hook will work better, as long as they are SS, or ROF 5's. Use weedless baits for bottom dragging/bouncing.
  15. Maybe we should start a club..The No Fun Fishing CPL's..
  16. Ha, a couple of years ago, I use to fish a L.A. city park about 100 times a year, maybe more and still couldn't get a line on the place. I think in CPL's, things change more than at a regular lake, i.e. weeds grow, then get pulled out, most CPL's get blue stoned, water changes, people keeping way to many fish in some places, die off's, and the list goes on. So yeah, that's what makes CPL's such a challenge and IMHO fun to fish..
  17. I'm not so sure GSP would do that..Don't forget, Nick has the cardio, and a great ground game, although GSP has some strengths that nick doesn't. And like it's been said before, you never know cuz anything could happen. Carry on..
  18. I know it can be frustrating, but when you do get a nice fish on a swimbait, all that frustration will disappear.. BTW, I use the bass color, I however would consider a color that stands out more for your first one, and I would suggest the 7". Good luck
  19. X 3 What Geoff said, also I would agree with Thebig1, missionfish are totally weedless and do catch fish at city park lakes, which are prolly some of the toughest waters to catch good fish at...Keep at it, your time will come.
