FishEastCarolina
I too am torn on this. Is the 795 powerfull enough for hudd 68s and 6-7 inch jig hook baits with mono? Is it enough for weedless hudds? Does the 806 fury leave casting distance on the table with the 2 to 3 oz baits?

I've been throwing a Fury 795 for a couple of months now and I just got a Fury 806 today. From what I've heard/read it will throw 2-5 oz like a champ. If you can wait til the weekend I will be out with it Saturday morning throwing baits in the 2-3.5 oz range and can give you my thoughts. I think you will be safe getting it though if you're impatient! FishEastCarolina
Morph808
Go to Dobyns Rods website and email Gary Dobyns. He is really food and detailed about explaining each of his rods and what fits you intended application.
253caster
I use the fr795 right now and have been getting away with throwing the hard tail and soft tail hiro(around 5oz). It's underpowered for those baits for sure, but it gets the job done and keeps the fish pinned. I also threw the 8inch hudd on it this past spring and it handled it ok. So my point is, you can get by with the 795 but the 806 will make tossing those bigger baits much easier. drewmoniz
