YELOSUB
Ok I posted this fish in the Sub Contest but thought I'd post it here with the story to go along with it... I had read the hype, seen the fish pics, and seen plenty of videos of the DRT Klash and Tiny Klash that intrigued me to the point of buying one...So when I got the bait I took my new bait and my new girlfriend of (3) months and hit the lake...I started throwing it and I liked it but of course I just hadn't had any confidence in it so after about 30 minutes or so of fishing it I put it down and started fishing baits that I had confidence in... Well those didn't work either...In the meantime I ran into a fellow SU member who recognized me from here...He posts as Azfisher and his name is Will...He was fishing with his buddy and they had been at the lake for a couple days with no swimbait fish and I think he said only one crankbait fish his partner caught...We talked baits and swapped stories for a bit, I introduced him to my girlfriend and we all hit it off...Great meeting people from the forum and putting faces to screen names...Anyways Will says that he makes rat baits and proceeds to throw his rat box over to me and has me go through it and pick out whichever ever one I wanted... I explained I sucked at rat fishing and had only ever caught one rat fish in my life and he helped me pick out the one he thought would be the best option and where, when, and how to fish it...We hung out for a little longer and then parted ways... Well after being fishless all day long and missing a good one on the Deps 250 I decided to pick back up the DRT TK and start chucking it...A few casts later I got whacked by a scrappy lil' 4#'er...Felt good to catch a fish on a new bait and build some confidence... Unfortunately I lost the bill to the bait on the very next cast but a member by the name of Zack, sneezes, has came to my rescue and sent me some replacements...Thanks Zack...Also my girlfriend caught her very first bass ever all by herself, no it wasn't a swimbait fish, but it was awesome non the less...She grew up trout fishing so she was pretty stoked... I want to the thank Will and Zack for their generosity...Members like them is what makes SU such a great place...Will it was great talking and hanging with you guys... Hopefully we'll see you on the water again soon...
