jordan
I just ordered the largest size (7â€) Williamson surface pro and some jet poppers and popper pros to try out for stripers. These are generally marketed as offshore lures. I’m thinking that the surface pro could be a punker alternative, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Anybody else tried this or something similar? Also, what size trebles do you use on a 7†punker? I might swap out the single hooks
Rogervang
I came across a guy using tuna plugs at the lake one day. It seems like he knows what he's doing. I wouldn't doubt if the plugs work. Stripers will attack almost anything ripping on top water.
waynem
A lot of saltwater and musky SURFACE lures work well on both largemouth and smallmouth. There are far fewer UNDERWATER saltwater/musky lures that seem to work that well for bass, at least in my experience. My favorite big bait surface lure is a saltwater model. I would tell you guys what it is, but it has long been discontinued and I already have a wicked time trying to find them anymore. The last one I found two years ago was on Ebay for around 5 or 10 bucks. It produces much better than any Punker I've fished.
Salty_Cak
shouldn't make a difference to a striper
