Glide long time in the making
SumoNinja and one other reacted to Swimb8ting_TheSouth for a topic
Ive been working on a shad profile glide bait for about a year now. First time making a resin bait, I've made wood baits and resin is a whole other ball game. I tried everything from MB ratios, weight placement, hinge cut, hook placement, ect. When i started making the bait i wanted a slow wide glide, so i can fish deep or over grass flats. So getting it to swim the way i wanted was what took a long time. Ive finally got it swim the way i want. Ive been able to put it to the test the last couple trips fishing deep and shallow and it sure does get bit. And with so many failed attempts I've been able to practice my painting skills. It’s been a fun journey of trail and error. here is the swim vid and some pics of the paint that I've done. if you have any question or comments let me know -Chris IMG_1483.MOV2 points -

Christmas comes late. I come bearing your final gift......the winder doldrum be-goner! I know many of you are in places where the season is over. While old man winter may be getting comfortable, perhaps YOU can find comfort in this video from spring that I finally edited. You want warmth? You got it! You can almost smell the pollen as you are enveloped with the songs of various spring birds. It was a great day despite only catching three fish. The smallmouth matches my PB at 5lbs 3oz and came on the amazing Real Prey 6.5" bluegill. Later on I coaxed a topwater bite from an impressively built 5lbs 1oz largemouth on the rare and beautiful Red Top Worms (Bob Suddarth) waking gill. Enjoy! Carl / Keepin'IT REEL Fishing2 points

I definitely wouldn't go under 4oz with it. I've thrown up to 8oz with it and think that's about the max. And it definitely has the power to do beast hooks also. It only weighs 5.8oz too surprisingly for how beefy it is. For the price I'm very pleased with it so far.2 points -

The big bait game ain’t cheap this isn’t anything new paying prices like this or more even considering the gear we pay for to throw baits in the 8oz plus range. It’s easy for you to hate on the top dog when your on the bottom same dudes hate the guy with the super model wife and Ferrari. Cost absolutely zero dollars to scroll on by I don’t know how insecure you have to be about yourself to make a post on a forum. Instead of taking the time to complain maybe fill out a job application for a better line of work.2 points -

The price on these is outrageous. That being said, I’d still absolutely support him. Killer baits that catch fish, look great, swim great, hold value, good paint that doesn’t flake off after two casts. When he says your bait is coming…..your bait is coming. Not 2.5 years later. And last, most people don’t realize that his customer service is legit. Break a lip or tail and send it back, and for $15 you’ll have your bait back in two weeks all fixed.2 points -

When you consider this bait isn't even a square foot in surface area, it's pretty damn impressive that it costs more than the average new home per square foot. Mickey in full send mode. Get your money dude... Just won't be mine.1 point -
The Armilo breaks closer to the rated lb rating vs. CXX which often breaks much higher. I like 17-20lb copoly for up to 3.5oz baits. Any higher then I go with 25lb. On occasion will do 65lb braid to 20-25lb mono leader if I plan on using a walk-the-dog style lure as an alternative. Favorites are P-Line Original, Hi-Seas, and Izorline.1 point

Bacca Buritto or Citizen 6/7
Primus reacted to Loudsplashbassn_ for a topic
I assume your talking about a bacca I'd say the citzen if your fishing shallower grassy water. The burrito sinks like a rock and is a snag magnet. if your fishing open deep water id say the bacca .1 point -
Decided to make a video covering what was likely my best day on the water in 2021. I cut out some of the smaller catches for times sake to avoid a 10 minute video of me smashing on a bunch of rats. I’ll give a summary to explain what happened on this awesome day for anyone who cares to know some details. Launched the boat shortly after sunrise and headed straight to a point where I had a handful of good follows the week before. Upon approach I noticed an eagle perched on one of the trees overlooking it. Good sign… I pulled up under that tree against the bank and started fishing the bait uphill. I caught fish on my first 3 casts, and before hooking up I would see a boil or two on or near the bait before they would eat it. I realized quickly it was multiple fish competing for the bait and I was in for some fun… After the third fish I made another cast and got boiled on right away and had them follow to the boat but didn’t fully connect. Fired off another bomb cast out to the deep side of the point(around 3:00 mark) and a few cranks in the bait got pounced on and immediately after leaning in to it I knew it was a bigger fish… after a botched net job I got her in the boat and she went 6.5, nice… Continued fishing on the point for another hour or so and noticed as the sun got higher it was pushing them deeper and less fish were coming up for it. Caught another handful of fish including one around 4lbs before the bite winded down. Once it started to get hot and the sun was high I began to look for deeper cover and was working deep shade lines but getting little results. Decided to bail on that part of the lake and headed to an area that had more of the deeper cover available. Pulled up to the area and my first cast was on a big piece of vertical cover. (Around 5:30 mark) My bait landed 10 feet or so from it, but within a few cranks the bait felt like it hung up on something and it caught me off guard as I knew the cover was still several feet away. Finally my brain started working and I leaned in to what felt like another good fish. She ended up going 6.3 and was my last bite of the day. Thanks for taking the time to watch. Very grateful to have people take time out of their day to watch my ugly mug and I really appreciate you guys that support me and my content with your likes, comments or other algorithm feeding actions…1 point

New CL8 Baby Muskrat
Dink whisperer reacted to urbanhick for a topic
Tiny little bait but it works well, caught 7 small bass doing a lap around the local pond on wednesday during an Edmond Fitzgerald sinking west wind cold front. I was tossing it on a 1/2 to 3 1/2 oz carrot stik with 16lb test but will be down sizing to my crankbait set up with 12 lb floro. Here are all the baits side by side. Adult possum, baby possum, vole, and baby muskrat.1 point
