honestly the bait look like a 8 inch freestyle trout. At first glance! Makes you look at it a couple times to realize its a 10 inch bait!

Yes it is! It is one of the 4 versions I will be making....I really like this bait! The bait is so sick! Light meaning perfect for the xh rod. Went out first if a couple if hours at my local lake and damn, looks so sick in clear water! When u flick the tail and do a walk action in the water, the bait looks as if it suspends after each flick! I took a picture of the bend on the xh and its basically as light as a rof 12 or 16 hud. ( using huds as an examPle since most people have this bait bait)

Try the albright knot for braid to mono or floural. Very easy to do and works well! I use the albright. Just prefer minimal effort, cosidering I tie a different bait 3 or 4 times everytime I fish. A new leader gets run every other trip it seems like. Then go no leader, straight braid for float or wake baits and use the bimini twist knot

Especially is this true on a moving bait.....look at the Triple Trout ...doesn't have scales and just destroys!! If it were a very slow moving bait or dead stick bait, I think it might matter... Im not sure about swimbait colors but I do know the number 1 color in artifical plastics is black. Try and find the old artical in bassmaster magazine about black and white plastics. This might coincide with swimbaits. It might!

To be honest thats just all preference! I look at more of the aspect of the bait. The way iy moves in the water. Yes paint and other things make it look real but i believe the action in the bait is the number 1 key!

no worries man. I didnt realize the Justin G who is friends with Tom W who is a friend of mine was THE justinG of SU. I figured it out as soon as he posted I thought there might be a chance the owner was on here considering the baits of choice. It's also a badge of honor to be laughed at. As for the floaters or wake baits try braid! You will be able to feel and work the bait a little better. Braid has no stretch! Once u try it u will like it!
