  1. im with you on that one, this is definitely a braid bait in my book. Assuming the hook up ratio is anything like the 6", mono/flouro is a no go in my mind.
  2. 13" tool, I love that bait fits your criteria perfectly too. I regret selling mine
  3. better question, what baits do you plan on fishing?
  4. badass man, I love diamond wraps like that.
  5. yea man it cracks me up when people get mad about a fish laying down a few seconds AFTER they punched a hole in its face and forcibly removed it from its environment Love me some hypocrites!
  6. ZOMG I cant believe you are STANDING on a poor innocent fish like that. What kind of person are you to do such a thing after you violently penetrated its face with treble hooks!?!?!?! You probably wiped all of its slime coat on the carpet (which is now going to be a nightmare to clean up) there is no way that fish survived, nope no way at all its probably floating belly up some where ( ). just kidding, nice fish dude I wish we had smallies like that in socal to smash on!
  7. Kabetogama, ill be there the 27th-1st of august
  8. badass man thanks for the pics! I am so stoked to finally throw some big baits up north this year. Going to be in northern Minnesota next month can not even wait now!
  9. FYI if you havent gotten a response yet just be patient I assure you he will respond. Combat is on vacation this weekend and will be returning tuesday.
  10. As far as top water goes I would say 95% of my strikes at night are when the bait is sitting still. Mess around and let the fish tell you what they really want.
  11. what rod are you using? I was fishing the 7" mission fish on a dobyns 806 for a while and had a lot of missed fish that I feel like was largely due in part to the rod being too soft. I starting fishing it on the 807 and feel like its a much better option for a bait like that. There is a lot of plastic to set into, if the rod is too soft there is no way you will have the energy required to really hammer in the hook. My .02 Cents
  12. dont worry I hear all the hardcore swimbaiters are doing it.
  13. Have you considered contacting the manufacturer or do you just want to know what the peanut gallery thinks? I broke one of my shell crackers tails towards the end of last year, shot black dog and email and got a new one in less than a week. They will even replace it for you if you contact them and send in the bait.
  14. thats what scissors are for
  15. you would be angry too if you were that fluffy
  16. im assuming he wants to buy or trade baits for: a fs shad, herring, trout or hyper herring... still confused?
  17. I think your focusing too much on the point and not enough on the gauge of the wire used. The ST-41's are a 2x strength rated hook based on that alone I would rather use that on a big bait over the lighter gauged ST-36 especially if you are fishing striper water. I would guess that is the main reason bigger baits like the BAA come with 2x rated 41's on them and small baits like baby wakes can get away with using lighter wire st-36's from the factory despite the fact st-36's run all the way up to 3/0.
  18. I love the guy on the left with the net ready
  19. nice! hopefully it will look just like your 10" freestyle by this time next year. Better too wish him luck with it, dont you think...... I think luck is irrelevant if they never get wet to begin with.
  20. nice! hopefully it will look just like your 10" freestyle by this time next year.
  21. was thinking the same thing...
  22. is the hook up ratio on this any better than the 6"?
