  1. ...the proof is in the pudding. Check out page 19 on this link and the Write-up in the Weekly Fish Report Section on the Main Page. http://www.escondido.org/fish-photos-bass.aspx
  2. That's gorgeous Ben. Is that Hypalon?
  3. Grant, That Herring is out of control!
  4. Sweet! How's your confidence level in that bait now?! Great Fish to break in your Bait.
  5. Super stoked that you got out of the shop and participated Ben. These could be really fun. I am shocked you didn't pull a beast out of your "Honey Hole". I was honestly gunning for you. I thought my only chance was you going "Big" and getting skunked. Only problem with time stamps is, they can be photo-shopped. I am not insinuating in any way. I promise. This Tournament has to be about getting out on the water an becoming a better Swimbait Fisherman. All of the Members of this Forum push me to be a better Swimbait Fisherman. If you guys didn't, I wouldn't be here. If it wasn't for the tourney I prob would have stayed indoors this week. Thats what I like about this too, getting people out on some water. I agree with that on the time stamp. The stamp seems it can def be shopped. Lets modify the original rules from page 2 if everyone is good with that? 1) Biggest fish Wins 2) Date somewhere in the picture (black marker/masking tape, cellphone etc...) 3) Swimbait / Fish pic 4) Digi scale / fish and weight visible pic 5) Fish anytime/anywhere between the tourney dates. Cool with me.

  7. No Phone/Marker Card for this fish. I agree that something has to be in the photo for Night Shots and Shore/Boat weigh-ins with "Hand Scales". I will let you guys decide whatever that is... I figured since this one wasn't for any prizes and just "Ego Checking", A fish caught on a Public Body of Water during normal operating hours, within the "legal fishing area", weighed on a certified scale, and recorded by an Official was gonna be legit enough. Not knockin', just saying. I set a goal to outfish my peers this first SBU Tourney Week, I will know at Midnight if I succeeded. Now that the Tourney is almost over I will post up the original pics though, so that everybody can see which Lake it is. My fish was caught at 2:45 PM on Saturday, January 29th, 2011 at Lake Wohlford in Southern California. This fish was weighed, and documented by two different Rangers. The fish will be posted on the Lake website this coming Tuesday when they update the site with all of the week's previous catches. The photo that will be posted on the Lake Website was taken by one of the Rangers who witnessed the Catch, using the Lake's Digital Camera. The date, weight and place of catch will be posted on the site also. I had a blast this week. I met another SBU Member, made another SBU Member (Gullywashere) and caught 7 Swimbait Fish. 1 on a FS Herring(photo), 5 on a Shellcracker (witnessed by ifeedfish), and one on an Hudd(photo). All in all, a pretty successful week. I hope everybody else made a little extra effort, as I did during this week. I am one DD better for it. Can't wait to participate in the next one...
  8. A new entry... More photos for verification to follow...
  9. Awesome Robbie! I am taking today off and fishing Saturday and Sunday as well. I'm not even close to being done...Lol. Best of luck to all my fellow SBU Members that are participating! Fish-On!!!!
  10. Just got back... Caught 5 more tonight. Nothing to weigh, unfortunately. Get out there and stick some piggies everyone!!!!!!!!!
  11. Caught a 3lb 6 oz LMB last night on the FS Herring. I know this little Rat won't stand a chance, but at least I am on the board. Fishing every chance I get until Sunday. It's on! You can't see the date on my phone that is in the pic so I will probably do the Marker Masking Tape for the next one. Video of this fish is coming also... I had a ton of fun fishing last night, and I ran into another SBU Member that I didn't even know lived in the area...Lol
  12. Me and my boy Gully are fishin' tonight. Ben, Can we post multiple fish during this week, or do we only get to submit one fish. For example: I catch a 4 pounder tonight. I submit it. I catch a 6 tomorrow and submit it. Will that 6 now count as my biggest fish for the week? Thanks,
  13. I love that a Walleye will choke an 8" Hudd. Awesome fish, Dr.!
  14. Thanks Guys Yes delicious fish and a lucky catch. The fish hit on the sink right above the bottom. I put maximum pressure on it after the bite as I thought it was another Calico Bass. We had 70+ Calicos that day fishing from the "Big Boat". I would have never thought that I had broken off a Seabass had my line failed. I also wouldn't have stood a chance with that light line if the fish "rocked" me. I felt my line come through some kelp right after the hookset, just before it ran off 25 yards of line towards the deep water. After that it was a game of inches, one time around the 65' Boat.
  15. I will speak with Ryan and find out a little more background on the subject before I continue with his defense... I have seen him complain about Hudds that don't swim straight. But why wouldn't a good Swimbait Fisherman be upset if one of his favorite baits doesn't have the same quality that it used to. He and I cannot be the only ones that have purchased Huddys recently that don't swim straight. Ken replaced several baits for Ryan. Had there not been an issue, the baits wouldn't have been replaced, right? Have a great day Boys and Girls, I am going Fishing!!!!!!!!!
  16. I'm ready... Rules, No Rules, Money, No Money, One Week, One night...I am down. Let's do this thing.
  17. Yes, Owner makes the best hooks on the market. I am curious to know thoughts or reasons for using ST-36's over ST-41's or vice versa. I believe that the slightly turned in ST-41's keep fish pinned once they are hooked... Some good Big Bait Fisherman don't agree with me though, and I was looking for more insight.
