  1. The next 5-7 weeks are 1 of the best times on the South Shore + Cape to score a PB GIANT, I got a 7.4 along with 7.1 and a 6.11 in the last few weeks so keep at it and you will be rewarded. BTW my 7.4 was on a Real-Prey that LM pick up the RP as it was sitting still on the bottom in a Sea run herring feed Lake.
  2. 57.2 on Sunday, got a Cape PIG Sat! Also found a sick RI Lake last week.LOL.
  3. Open water till Jan 1st is OK with me.
  4. Louisville Slugger MS Slammer gets my Wake-bait vote, Go Big or Go Home.
  5. That sucks hopefully she fully recovers, I lost my best fishing friend a few years ago he loved the ice and open water fishing. He hated pulling my ice fishing sled around.
  6. Awesome video…… I’ve had a few LM jump ship…. adding the live-well access lid to the live-well is an awesome idea doctor.
  7. I caught a mid 6lb class LM from a RI herring feed pond a few days after ice out back in the beginning of April 2015 that’s the biggest LM I’ve caught on the 3:16 herring…. it’s a bait I should crank more often in herring feed lakes right before and as the herring runs begin in the spring time. I’ve also C+R a few big NP speed cranking the herring in Aug, awesome bait.
  8. Chuck the one I used last year worked great as both a wake-bait worked slowly on top along with deep cranking, super buoyant material Joeys using so they rises quickly on a pause. That’s a great thing having the ability to plow into weeds and wood and pause then keep cranking. Joeys Trout’s also look nice, hoping to add 1 of them to my ice out cranking arsenal this spring.
  9. Lanciotti lures is another great crank down bait, I picked 1 up last spring and was extremely impressed with how it swims along with the depth it dives. The color I bought was Pearl White + Chartreuse, what bait ended up landing me the biggest LM in the C+R category in Mass for 2019 along with a tie for the biggest Pickerel C+R in Mass in 2019 so it’s a proved winner in my crank down book.
  10. Megabass Big M 7.5 along with Strike King Pro Model 8XD was my go to fall deep crank-baits, C+R a lot of schooled up good fall LM along with a handful of good size crappies like this 1.
  11. Baby Possum gets my vote + CL8 Clayton is an awesome guy to deal with he’s made me a # of custom piss them off crazy colors over the years along with heavier weighted ones that will get 6-10’ down depending on the line used and the rate of speed retrieved. I prefer slow cranking at ice out a few feet below the surface, ice out lakes that have shallow water with lay-downs are the places I target 1st. Stable weather patterns with sunny conditions warm shallows up quickly are the places I target 1st. Think ice out.LOL.
  12. Stay out of my Lake this is your last warning, that’s a Dep’s 250 Glide-Bait Lake not broom-stick Lake. My most heart breaking SB lost was a 3:16 1-UP, lost that bait a week after landing a 7.13 CT LM. 1-UP got snagged on a deep rope that was floating up 5-6’ from the bottom in 25’ of water. I pulled it up to around 4’ from the surface before my line snapped, went back a few days later and the rope was gone. Ended up buying a replacement for $375 but that bait didn’t swim ½ as good as the 1 I lost, I have a feeling it was a knockoff 3:16 so basically I through $375 away.
  13. Nice I was in a tie for the leading Mass Gold Pin C+R LM that LM was 24” her weight was only 7.10, also got a 28” Pickerel a ish fish in my book but that was also leading going into the last week of 2019. Mass DEP should up-date next Monday so I will see if my LM held up, I could care less about the pic.LOL.
