    Looks just like our Gizzard shad here at Lake of the Ozarks. I wouldn't mind testing a 5-7 inch model. I'll even pass it on to another SU member, for testing, after a few weeks of throwing it.

    Went back up to Lake of the Ozarks today for a couple hours. Water is now 35-37 degrees. Took a few wakebaits and managed to stick a bunch of dink bass, 6"-14". The fun part was I nailed 5 hybrids from 7-9 lbs! Kept one for fish tacos and released the rest.

    Caught the buffalo and one dink bass on the Castaic 4" Catch 22. I threw bigger and better baits, but the fish were really skittish and I could see them dart off whenever my swimbaits got within 20 feet of them! So I opted for a smaller, quieter presentation. It paid off, after a fashion, just not in the way I wanted. lol Time to pick up some 6" Hudds!

    We finally got some decent temps out here and had some snow and ice melt. Went up to the lake and found one cove with soft water. Only landed one dink bass and had a couple blowups. Had a big surprise when a fish hit and it turned out to be a buffalo!

    To me, it's all about that one bite. And having the perseverance to stick it out, thick or thin. After an almost 7 year hiatus, this will be my first year back to chucking the big baits. And I'm really looking forward to it!
