Im down for this! Once a month have an Underground Swimbait tourney! Must have a pic with bait in mouth. Im not worried about the scale in the picture, but just be honest. Maybe start a thread that is specifically for tallying up each month's winners. I say we start next month as this month is obviously not gonna work!

I was just getting back into bass fishing and was looking at some pictures online. I seen one with a big wooden bait hanging from its mouth and was amazed at the size of the lure. It turned out to be a slammer so I went to down to the tackle store and bought one. Went out with a couple friends and started chucking while they worked their drop shots. They started laughing at the bait calling it the submarine lure. Right as I turned to tell them I was gonna fish with it, I hear a giant explosion behind me and watch their faces turn from laughter to jaw dropping. I turned to see 4 pounder with my bait in its mouth and watched it start to turn and run. I was hooked from that day on. I didn't even have a rod to throw the thing but I was out there everyday chuckin. It truly is a disease!

Ambitious little fellas

You can always modify the bait to make it suspend. I took a husky husuzzy and added an extra ounce to it and got it to suspend perfectly. I played around with different weights and got it right after a little trial and error. Now I can crank it down and rip it and it stays in place. I modified this bait because of how it reacts when you bounce it off rocks, I wanted to get it deeper than the 3 feet it would run when you cranked it down as a floater.

I got one over from the Monster jam. Only fished it once, it feels weird cuz its so light but it did have good action. Really the only reason I bought it was because my daughter wanted it, so really its her bait!

Thats awesome dude! My 5 year old has a 3:16 little booger tied on her Hannah Montana pole right now, Im gonna flip when she catches her first swimait fish!
