I’m not afraid to call you over priced wanna be bait makers out. These prices are ridiculous and you ass kissers driving the prices up! 90% of you on this board just collect baits and don’t even fish swimbabaits, it’s more like a Pokémon game, gotta catch em all! Not a scratch on your baits, all for the hype….

Is it just me or is there a billion “bait makers” who make a glide bait that cost $200 that didn’t even exist ten years ago….? How does GT swimbaiats cost $175 for an unproven resin bait? How does a 7” PB rat cost more than $100? How does Duby swimbaits charge $165.00 for a tiny bait? I could go on and on but you get the point…. We need to put these fake bandwagon bait makers on blast and put them in their place, your resin baits aren’t ish and shouldn’t cost half of what you’re asking…. All these fake ass bait builders are driving up the price of actual good baits! I’m gonna call like it is? Step up and call these fake fucks out!

It reduces rotational torque and allows the line to be on the bottom of the rod. And like the previous person said you can use less guides which makes the rod a little bit lighter. I personally love it, some say it’s not necessary for bass fishing but once you fish a spiral wrapped rod you’ll want all your rods spiral wrapped. I just built a rod the other day with a spiral wrap and I love it!

My first time attempting a rod build. Definitely need to work on applying the epoxy better but I’m happy with it. I used recoil guides and spiral wrapped it, built on a Phenix X-15 composite blank. It’s so nice to use the exact components you want and having them exactly where you want them. Custom cork design came out pretty good. I made the handle extra long and cut off two inches from the tip. This was built to use with small glides and smaller treble hook baits, the rod is rated up to 4oz. Why is this bait color so popular? Who the hell is catching fish on pink baits? Can we please come together as a community and stop and this nonsense?!?!?!? I made a similar post a while back. I ended up getting a really good deal on a used one. The wider the better and get something that has a lot of tie downs. I mostly sit on the board or fish from my knees, I never stand on it, I feel like I’m gonna fall of on a hookset. Tons of options out there but I think the most important thing is how wide the board is. Get extra fins I broke one off already lol. I’m thinking about adding an ice chest for storage and use it as a seat.

I dremeled out a slot on the top and added a magnet. Used 300lb kevlar string and super glued the knots real good and then used shrink tubing. Added two 1/4 ounce grenade weights to get down deeper and then added my own rattle can bass pattern.
